Buying Ahead at a Reduced Price
The main risk with a sale suit is buying for an event that is months away.
- Size for the date of the event, not the date you order. Six months is a long time in a child's growth.
- Shoulders are the hardest part to alter. If the jacket sits cleanly across the shoulders, sleeves and hems can usually be adjusted.
- Between sizes, take the larger one and have the hems shortened.
- A waistcoat suit stays wearable longer than a full jacket set as he grows.
